Usually those words inspire sheer joy in my heart. Now they are just two more days. I cannot wait to return to work. Dr. Voodoo hasn't released me as of yet. He wants my sugars completely under control. The problem I am having now is that my sugars are dropping way to fast. I shoot the insulin and then sometimes right away I get terribly sick because the insulin kicks it down to fast. It doesn't go beneath where it should be...it just drops too quickly. Other times I am just fine. So now Dr. Voodoo is experimenting with different concentrations of insulin....now i am at a 70/30 suspension...and we will see what happens from there.
Being diabetic is not as much fun as it sounds. Happily the injections don't even hurt. Although the first time I stuck myself I didn't put the needle all the way in and got an insulin bubble on my belly. Kinda like when you get a TB test done....yup like that only on my belly. NICE Eh?
So what else is going on in my little life? Sadly being sick has pretty much taken over most of my free time. LOL I did find a new place to live though...so I am getting outta this place! August 1st is moving day. Actually August 6 is moving day but I can take possesion on the 1st. I don't have to be out of here until August 15th. The new landlord actually has his buisness out of one of the condos on site so he's there and from what the other tenats say he's good about repairing stuff. I'll put pictures up as soon as I have some to post.
Oh and my Pounds for Dollars campagin with God is not going all that wonderfully either! I have gained 5 lbs back. Dr. VooDoo says that's normal....to be expected...blah blah blah. Just another side effect.
Have I mentioned that I have a love hate relationship with Dr. Voodoo? Okay...mostly hate!
Rafiqe has been wonderful through out the time I have been home. He is going to have a rough time when I am not around 24/7 anymore. He'll have Debbie withdrawl. Poor little fellow.
His mohawk is growing back and he is still more adorable than he was in the pictures you guys saw of him. I know I know...hard to believe!
Well I hope everyone reading this is well.
