Rob is working 3rd shift this week...which means I sleep alone....sort of...Sweet Pea takes huge amounts of room in the bed and well Rafiqe...previously referred to as the BED PIG can take up an entire bed all by himself. The Blog of Deb: The bed pig

I never knew how much noise this house makes at night before. In addition to the extra noises we have Rafiqe the wonder dog deciding that at 2am he should eat breakfast. He doesn't eat like a normal dog though...oh that would just be too much luck...noo...MY dog goes to the bowl...grabs a mouth full of food and runs into whatever room I am in to eat the food.

So at 2am I am in bed and it goes something like this.....I am sleeping peacefully when all of the sudden Rafiqe jumps off the bed...then I hear him trot out to the kitchen....just about the time I am falling back asleep I feel him jump back up on the bed and then I hear him crunch crunch crunch pieces of dog food. Then he jumps back down and starts the whole cycle again...and so it goes over and over again until I am yelling at him to "STOP THAT EATING!"....of course he doesn't listen and continues his run and chomp approach to feeding. This goes on for what seems like hours. Just when I think the saga has come to an end because Rafiqe has come back to bed and lays down...it's at that moment that he burps right in my face...a big ole doggie food burp. After I am done barfing I fall back asleep...and just about that time....beep beep beep...the alarm goes off and it's time to start my day.

Normally my day would start with Rob fixing me my morning toast and serving it to me in bed...but since he's working I am left to wake myself up...fix my own toast...my own lunch as well as have the morning yak. Sweet Pea misses him too as she loves to have toast in bed with me...Rafiqe is still asleep...most likely because his belly is still full from his middle of the night snack.

I miss Rob and further more I loathe the night shift!
