15 minutes

I had no idea the value of 15 minutes.

Rob and I have been fighting ALOT! It got to the point that he started packing his car to leave the other night. It was ugly to say the least.

We sat down and ironed out some things. We made some commitments to one another...some too personal to share here...but this one I can share here and it is a HUGE one! We committed to taking 15 minutes a day to picking up around here. What an enormous difference 15 minutes makes!

Besides the house starting to look less like a Cooper-Allen hurricane....I do not feel overwhelmed and upset with Rob for pushing all the work on me anymore. I feel treasured instead of taken advantage of. I am starting to trust that when Rob says he will do something he will keep his promise. He loves me enough to take 15 minutes a day to do what is important to me. It doesn't sound like so much...but it IS!

Now I am no marriage counselor that is for sure...but from now on whenever anyone I know feels frustrated because a relationship is not what they wish it could be I am going to recommend 15 minute house cleaning therapy! I'll save my friends millions by keeping them from having to pay a therapist AND a maid! Yeah Deb! Hey ya'll you don't have to pay a therapist or a maid...HOWEVER I do accept tips!

Now for my favorite picture of the day....I was browsing through Christmas pictures and came across this one of Rob and the dogs. I bought both dogs sweaters for Christmas...Rafiqe's says "100% Mutt". Sweet Pea's says "Biscuits are a girls best friend!" Apparently Sweet Pea has had a few too many biscuits since her sweater didn't even come close to fitting. :)

Thanks for sharing, and for knowing when to not share. Cool.

We've done the fifteen minute cleaning before and it always amazes people how little effort it takes to make such a huge change.

Good job and you deserve the tips.

Have you heard of flylady? Google her. I converted right after Lia was born and it is my life's aim to proselytize as often as possible. She's all about the 15 minutes. Hooray!
