God and Libby 1....Satao GOOSE EGG!

Libby 1, “The Devil” 0

Our prayers were once again answered as Libby’s Friday cancer surgery went well! Although she looks as though she went a couple of rounds with Muhammad Ali (at the moment), she is in good spirits (and is singing God’s praises) – but still hurting!

The surgery went pretty much as the surgeon expected, although he did find some additional cancer cells in the rear wall of her sinus cavity, that hadn’t shown up on her MRI, or any of the other many tests that she has undertaken in the last couple of months. He is confident that he was able to remove that as well. She still has a tough recovery period to endure (and then radiation) – but she’s always liked a good challenge. Maybe that’s why she married me.

Libby, Kelly, Debbie, Rob and I wish to express our deep appreciation to everyone (family, extended family and friends) for the concern they’ve shown; prayers, calls, cards, plants, food and postings to Kelly and Debbie’s Facebook pages. Libby loved the messages she read from many of those “kids” that she had worked with at Thunderbird Furniture. She has always had a genuine fondness and concern for each and every one. Libby is also very appreciative of the anointing service, and the following meal that was arranged by our little church family in Cave Creek (and attended by many friends from PV). It was very special, and a highlight to a very unnerving couple of months.

A special thanks to Dick Knipple and family (Fred and Debby Reill ) for spending much of their Friday with us while we waited for Libby’s long surgery to be completed. Your encouragement and concern were greatly appreciated.

Well, as I expected, Libby just called me and asked why I wasn’t down there at the hospital – so I will end this and get going. Thanks again everyone!

Libby’s grateful and blessed family.
